Take our 2 Day 1 Night quick adventure tour. Kayak and explore caves and lagoons on Ha Long Bay by sea kayak and traditional junk. We spend one night on boat with en-suite bathroom. We meet you at the dock and transfer you to Ben Beo, were we get in the kayaks and set out on the bay to discover coves and quiet beaches. We make our way to fish farms and floating villages and take in nature on the charming bay.

Itinerary

Day 01

7:00 am: Depart from Hanoi to Cat Ba island (by public bus or private transport).

11:30: Arrive at Cat Ba Island where our staff will meet you. After a delicious welcome lunch we will take you to Ben Beo Pier. Following a short introduction you will board a traditional Junk and Sail in style around the unique floating villages, home to many families. You will kayak through the beautiful scenery of the bay and tide permitting, will be able to paddle right into Dark Cave and Bat Cave. Enjoy swimmming on Three Peaches Island which is famous for crystal waters and natural beaches

Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Overnight in Private Cabin on the Junk.

Day 02

8:30am: After breakfast. you'll be sailing to Tay Keo Lagoon and Cave for some more kayaking, you will want to see more and more of the incredible scenery here! Have lunch on boat before heading back to Ben Beo to catch the transport back to Hanoi(Publich Bus or Private transfer).

There are two options to get from Hanoi to Cat Ba Island.

1/Express Shuttle Bus

  • Pick up: At your hotel in Hanoi’s old quarter 6:00
  • Departure Times:
    Hanoi – Cat Ba 7:00 & 14:00   Cat Ba – Hanoi 9:00 & 16:00
  • Travel time estimate: 3 hour and 40 minutes
  • Cost: 300 000VND/person/per way. Includes speedboat ticket

The express bus to Cat Ba departs Hanoi and you are driven to the ferry dock in Hai Phong where you board the ferry and take the 30 minuet ride to Cat Ba Island. Once there you get on another bus that takes you into Cat Ba Town where we meet you to start your adventure. Book Now

“Best Way–BY FAR–To Visit Halong Bay!”

After considering other ways to see and experience Halong Bay, we chose Blue Swimmer for a more intimate and customized experience. And boy were we glad. Instead of the huge, steamer style boats carrying lots of people and featuring 30 minutes of kayaking, we had a grand wooden boat all to ourselves–with a great guide, Thang, a solid captain and a very good cook. We could kayak all we wanted. And instead of the more crowded Halong Bay, we focused on Bai Tu Long. From our first email, Mr Kevin was terrific to deal with. We had a kind of complicated timeline, which he worked with–even arranging transport to Haiphong from the Hanoi airport, and having someone meet us at the hydrofoil dock with prepaid tickets. Everything went smoothly from beginning to end. The kayaking was good. Everybody loved jumping off the top deck to swim. And the food was terrific–and plentiful. The boat was very spacious, with two bedrooms for the four of us, each with its own bathroom including shower. There was also a living area for eating. But we spent most of our time in the four lounges on the main deck, watching the karst islands go by, looking at the floating villages, and enjoying the changing scenery. We are experienced kayakers, so doing a fair amount of paddling was important to us. Especially on the second day, we got plenty. And the boats were in fine shape. Most important, as we cruised by the other, crowded boats, we said to ourselves over and over: ” Sure glad we chose Blue Swimmer.”
